IRS MOVES – The IRS announced plans to hire 3,700 agents to audit wealthy tax dodgers.  The new compliance initiative is part of a larger effort “to add fairness to the tax system and expand tax enforcement involving areas of concern with high-income earners, partnerships, large corporations and promoters.”  As part of the compliance initiative, the Service is planning to set up a special unit to focus on large or complex pass-through entities, such as partnerships and S corporations.
